Nigerian Torture Survivor Freed!

Moses Akatugba was imprisoned at 16 years old, tortured, and sentenced to death. Ten years and over 800,000 actions later, he walked out of prison on June 2, 2015.

On February 8, 2013 Mao Hengfeng was released to serve the rest of her term at home. She thanks everyone who campaigned on her behalf, and her husband believes she is home again due to the international and domestic calls for her release.

Rosario Huayanca Zapata and Father José Manuel Miranda Azpiroz of the Human Rights Committee who received death threats on 4 and 8 October, have reported that there have been no further security incidents or threats against them since October.
