Moses Akatugba was imprisoned at 16 years old, tortured, and sentenced to death. Ten years and over 800,000 actions later, he walked out of prison on June 2, 2015.

Four Rohingya leaders in Myanmar have been released under a presidential amnesty. They had been imprisoned in connection with community protests in 2013.

The Reception Center for Foreigners “Gazi Baba” has been closed. This brings an end to the detention of hundreds of refugees and migrants, in inhumane and degrading conditions. The last detainees were released on 24 July.

A Dominican man arbitrarily deported to Haiti on 19 February was able to return to his hometown in the Dominican Republic.

In April the Indian Supreme Court ruled that the affected communities must be consulted if Vedanta were to go ahead with any mining. In August, all 12 of the local villages rejected plans for the mine. Without consent from the local affected communities, the project cannot go forward.
