On January 11, the Illinois Senate joined the Illinois House of Representatives in voting to abolish the death penalty. If Governor Pat Quinn signs the bill into law, Illinois will become the 16th U.S. state to outlaw capital punishment. Thank you to all who took action on behalf of death penalty repeal in Illinois!
