We need your help. The U.S. Congress is making decisions now that will determine whether:
- to close the Guantanamo detention center on schedule,
- to reform a U.S. immigration detention that costs millions of dollars, is ineffective, and denies human rights, and
- to give full U.S. support in protecting the dignity and fundamental human rights of women
We need you to ensure that human rights is a deciding factor in each of these issues. Now is a critical time for your elected officials to hear your voice!
Your Representative and your Senators are likely to be in your district office this November 11. Apply to lead a delegation to your elected officials. Or, join a delegation near you.
Leading a delegation is easy, it will take about 15 hours of time, and Amnesty International will give you ideas, training and tips to be most effective.
