(NEW YORK, NY) – Following the Department of Justice filing an appeal in response a federal judge’s ruling temporarily blocking President Trump’s Muslim ban, Eric Ferrero, Amnesty International USA spokesman, released the following statement:
"Thousands of people have been living in limbo and this appeal will only mean continued uncertainty and anxiety for the families all over the world who are being affected. Doubling down on his cruel and unlawful ban as backlash grows against it shows how out of step President Trump is with Americans. It’s time for Congress to step in and put an immediate end to this inhumane and discriminatory ban."
