Amnesty International USA Welcomes Bipartisan U.S. Senate letter on Russia's Crackdown on Freedom of Expression

From Frank Jannuzi, deputy executive director for Amnesty International USA in response the U.S. Senate letter sent to President Barack Obama regarding Russia's human rights situation.

"I commend the strong, bipartisan Senate letter sent today to President Obama urging him to put human rights at the center of United States' relations with Russia. As noted by U.S. Senators Barbara Boxer, Chris Murphy, Jeanne Shaheen and John McCain, the Russian government's crackdown on freedom of expression and freedom of assembly should be of grave concern to the United States."
