"One More Voice" captures people all over the world asking viewers to add their voice to Amnesty International's fight against torture, the death penalty, unjust imprisonment, violence against women and other human rights abuses.
This short compelling video is narrated by three-time Oscar winner Meryl Streep and features an anthem specially written for Amnesty International's 50th anniversary by Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer and composer Lorne Balfe. Produced by Citizen Group in San Francisco, the video features contributions from new and established directors through a special partnership with the International Quorum of Motion Picture Producers. Production took place in Egypt, Abu Dhabi, Australia, Hong Kong, Kenya, the Czech Republic, Ecuador, Hungary, India, Switzerland, Sweden, South Africa and a number of U.S. cities. It features an activist in Egypt's Tahrir Square, student activists in Los Angeles and a photograph of Martina Correia, sister of Troy Davis, who was executed by the state of Georgia in 2011. Photos depicting the worldwide struggle for human rights were donated for the video by Magnum Photos through a partnership with the Magnum Foundation.
