Passed 127-10 by the Voting Plenary of the 2008 Annual General Meeting

[A] WHEREAS AI works to support all human rights worldwide; and

[B] WHEREAS human rights include the right to organize into labor unions, and

[C] WHEREAS AI has a long history of supporting workers worldwide whose rights

have been violated for trade union activity, and

[D] WHEREAS the labor movement in the USA continues to decline, and

[E] WHEREAS many American businesses resort to union-busting tactics, and call in the

ICE on the illegal immigrants they themselves hired in order to quell organizing drives,

and

[F] WHEREAS AIUSA now strives to meet in eco-friendly locations.


[G] THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED AIUSA make every effort for AGM’s and

Regional Conferences to meet in “labor-friendly” locations, in other words facilities not

engaged in union-busting tactics.
