Justice in Juárez, Ahora!

Over a decade has passed and the violence in Ciudad Juárez and Chihuahua City, Mexico has not ended. Since 1993 nearly 400 young women and girls have been murdered in the cities of Juárez and Chihuahua—at least a third suffering sexual violence—without the authorities taking proper measures to investigate and address the problem.

Denounce Torture: Stop it Now!

Over three years since Amnesty International brought attention to allegations of torture and ill-treatment of detainees in US custody in Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay, and a year since the pictures of torture and ill treatment in Abu Ghraib were publicized, there is no indication of meaningful action by the US government to remedy the situation and prevent further abuse.
