Ahmad Mshaima' has lost an appeal against his one-year prison sentence for “insulting the King of Bahrain”. He is a prisoner of conscience.
Bahraini activist Nader Abdulemam has been released after his sentence was reduced on appeal.
She was released on 19 November after more than a month in detention for ripping up a picture of the King in court. The verdict in this case is expected on 4 December.
Ten Bahrainis, whose nationality was arbitrarily revoked in 2012, are at risk of harassment and intimidation while awaiting the appeal against a court order to deport them.
