Mohammed Saleh al-Bajady has apparently been sentenced to four years’ imprisonment followed by a travel ban. He is a prisoner of conscience detained in part for his human rights activism.
Yong Vui Kong’s third appeal application against his death sentence was rejected on 4 April. Only an act of clemency from the President of Singapore can stop his execution from going ahead.
On 28 March, Haidar Mahmoud Abderrahman Manis was arrested by security forces in Khartoum North, Sudan. He is being detained in an unknown location, and has no access to his family or a lawyer.
A Syrian man, aged 70, has been held incommunicado since 19 March, reportedly by Air Force Intelligence. He is believed to be detained in relation to his son’s pro-reform activities.
