Members of the National Movement of Victims of State Crimes (MOVICE) and other human rights organizations in Northern Colombia have received emailed death threats signed by paramilitaries.
The rural community of Paraná, in Panzos, north-eastern Guatemala, was attacked by security guards on 10 August. A local company claims it owns the land.
Paramilitaries threatened to “dismember” a human rights defender and continue to threaten members of the Humanitarian Space of Puente Nayero in the port city of Buenaventura, southern Colombia.
