Bahraini human rights activist Sayed Yousif Almuhafdah was arrested on 2 November 2012 for participating in an “illegal gathering” and “taking part in an unauthorized march”.
The daughter of Mu’ammar al-Gaddafi’s military intelligence chief was arrested in Tripoli on 6 October 2012. She has been held incommunicado since about 20 October.
Administrative detainee Samer al-Barq was denied a family visit on 12 March, apparently to punish him for resuming his hunger strike on 27 February.
Convictions against the former president and vice-president of the Bahrain Teachers’ Association (BTA), were upheld on 21 October. However, their prison sentences were reduced.
