Two members of the Movement for Democracy Current Force (MDCF) have been given jail terms for peacefully exercising their rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.
The deadline for NGOs to register under the draconian Law on Associations (Law 84 of 2002) is now 10 November. NGOs not registered after then will face the threat of “accountability” measures.
They are prisoners of conscience, detained solely for peacefully exercising their right to freedom of expression.
