Volunteer and Internship Positions
Volunteer Leaders
Ready to do more to stop human rights violations? Want to help others do the same? By starting or volunteering with your student or local AI group, you have taken an important step in joining the fight for human rights. We are seeking seasoned activists and others familiar with human rights and Amnesty’s work to take on leadership roles at the state, regional, and national levels. Volunteer leadership opportunities range from coaching and mentoring other AI groups as an Area Coordinator or Student Area Coordinator, to joining a steering committee on a particular topic (such as women’s rights), or providing expertise on a particular country or world region as a Country Specialist. For further information about these and other volunteer leadership opportunities, contact your Regional Office or visit the volunteer page.
Internships
Want to see what it is like to work for the world's largest grassroots human rights organization? AIUSA needs hardworking, dedicated interns in our offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. To apply to one of the above locations, send a cover letter and resume to the Amnesty office where you would like to intern. Learn more on the volunteer page.
