Membership Newsletters
AIUSA groups should receive the following:
Connect
Connect is the monthly membership newsletter of the AIUSA movement, and serves as the primary information vehicle for student and local group members as well as other core activists. It provides updates on current campaigns and actions, casework, death penalty abolition activities, refugee issues, Amnesty resources, and student and local group news. The newsletter is published ten times a year (with double issues in December / January and July / August) along with multiple enclosures on AIUSA policy and programs.
Connect is available in the members area. This is a password-protected area. To get your password, simply fill out the online form.
Sign up for E-delivery!
Help save money on printing and postage – read Connect online. Until recently, all Amnesty groups and core activists received a hard copy of Connect. Now you (or any member of your group), can make the switch to e-delivery. Once you sign up for e-delivery, you will no longer receive the full package in the mail, (only enclosures such as postcards, membership magazines, etc. are mailed). Sign up.
To access this sign up form, you will need a user name and password for the Members Section of the AIUSA website. If you do not have a password, you can apply for one. To get your password, simply fill out the online form.
If your group is not receiving Connect, please contact your Regional Office.
The Amnesty Magazine
The Amnesty Magazine is a quarterly publication produced by the Communications Department for all AIUSA members and volunteer leaders, with a circulation of about 350,000. The magazine offers news, features, and analysis, with an emphasis on success stories and profiles of human rights defenders worldwide. It also includes up dates on AI's global work and current actions on specific cases of torture, "disappearance", or imprisonment. Copies of the magazine are mailed to all individual donor-members and are provided to groups and volunteers as an enclosure with the Connect mailing.
If you are a current AIUSA member and are not receiving the magazine, please contact Member Services at the National Office in New York.
