Bullets in the Hood: A Bed-Stuy Story
Director: Terrence Fisher and Daniel Howard
Documentary. 2004. USA. 22 min. English.

Bullets in the Hood: A Bed-Stuy StoryTerrence Fisher is a 19 year-old filmmaker looking to resolve the problem of gun violence in his neighborhood, the Bedford-Stuyvesant housing project in Brooklyn, NY. In this film, Terrence speaks out against gun violence in a very personal way because during production he loses a close friend to an unprovoked police shooting. The officer is cleared of charges while Terrence and his friends try to cope and find acceptable means to combat the injustices they face. By making this film and a subsequent music video, the Bed-Stuy youth demonstrate that they want to end the gun obsession that is plaguing their communities.
