Texas

Sunday ServiceRay Hill, former Texas inmate and host of The Prison Show on KPFT Pacifica Radio will be the featured speaker. After Gayland Randall and six others, who assaulted gay banker Paul Broussard in Montrose, July 1991, went to prison, Ray began communicating with them and helping them and their families survive the Texas prison experience. Ray has worked with the families to secure the release of each inmate as he became eligible for parole. There is enough irony in this story to rust, and it is an example of what restorative justice means. The service will incorporate a Burning Bowl Ceremony.
