Crude Reflections ChevronTexaco's Rainforest Legacy
The exhibit chronicles the impact of ChevronTexaco's oil pollution in Ecuador, and efforts by local communities to seek justice. Using testimonies alongside portraits, two acclaimed Bay Area photographers, Lou Dematteis and Kayana Szymczak, assisted by journalist Joan Kruckewitt, have uncovered the physical and emotional reality of those affected by toxic contamination roughly 30 times larger than the Exxon Valdez spill. The exhibit is opening in San Ramon, the global headquarters of ChevronTexaco. It coincides with the company's annual meeting
Exhibit is free and open to the public
