More than 500 Amnesty activists and leaders from all across the West attended the 2011 Western Regional Conference in Los Angeles, California.

Over 300 activists packed the house for the West Coast premiere of "Education Under Fire" followed by a panel discussion featuring actor Rainn Wilson ("Dwight" from The Office).

The conference closed with a moving and inspiring panel of former political prisoners, including the three American hikers (Shane Bauer, Josh Fattal, and Sara Shourd), Melissa Roxas, and Palden Gyatso) who were detained in Iran.
