Please join the Mid Atlantic Regional Office for a reception for Cambodian Activist Phouk Hong. See the description and link below for more information about Phouk Hong and her work.
Hong is a 38-year old mother of five who is a member of Cambodia's indigenous Kuy people. Hong and her people live in Prey Lang forest, which is a source of daily necessities as well as deeply tied to their culture. Since the 1990s, the forest has come under threat from logging and mineral companies. Despite her lack of formal education or literacy, Hong has emerged as a leader of her people.
