Denounce Torture
As part of a nation-wide observance, the mid-coast chapter of Amnesty International (Group 371) held a silent vigil and march to denounce torture on Sunday, June 26th at 1 PM at the corner of Park and Main Streets in Rockland. After a half-hour-long silent vigil, participants walked together through town to the Lincoln Street Center to sign letters and petitions calling for the thorough investigation of torture allegations.
