AI's Northeast Region is currently recruiting Volunteer Leaders to serve as Student Area Coordinators for the 2009-2010 academic year.
Amnesty International Student Area Coordinator (SAC)
Student Area Coordinator mlf noun (SAC): an experienced Amnesty International (AI) volunteer who represents the organization in an assigned area by serving as advisor to student groups; acts as a liaison between groups, staff, and other AI groups; promotes area-wide initiatives, and acts as a student spokesperson for AI where appropriate.
Term: 2009-2010 Academic Year (Sept-May)... 7-10 hours per month
Supervision: The SAC works under the guidance and supervision of the AI's Northeast Regional Office
AI's Northeast Regional Office requires all SACS to be/become card carrying members of Amnesty International. Student membership is $15.00 - join online.
Must be a student!
August Leadership Meeting & Training will be provided.
