In conjunction with its Stop Violence Against Women Campaign, Amnesty International along with WORD in Motion, presents Slamming for Human Rights: a human rights themed poetry slam hosted by two time HBO Def Poet and internet phenomenon Big Poppa E, from Austin, TX. St. Louis' best spoken word artists will perform human rights themed poems and judges randomly selected from the audience will crown one of them, Amnesty International's Poet of Conscience.

This will be Big Poppa E's first St. Louis appearance since the 2004 National Poetry Slam. Don't miss this rare opportunity to support women's human rights and hear some amazing poetry.
