Annual General Meeting Lobby Day

This year at the Annual General Meeting, Amnesty members had the opportunity to meet with their elected officials and staff. Six Amnesty members from all over Illinois visited their representatives to talk about supporting the International Violence Against Women Act and victims of police abuse in Mexico. We were able to visit the staff of Senator Durbin, Representative Gutierrez, Representative Emanuel, and Representative Davis. The visits were a success and we were able to get many of the members of Congress to sign a letter showing their support for Amnesty's issues.
