Jamnesty will be held at The Cove, local restaurant in downtown San Antonio, on Sat. May 28th. Students and friends from St. Mary's University (STMU)will be performing musical acts and poetry slam at this event, along with a slideshow of Amnesty International campaigns, quotes, photos..etc that will be running on a slideshow. AI members will be asked to monitor the front door to collect the $5 entrance fee per patron and also tend to the information table to answer questions on campaigns or how to get involved in AI. The purpose of this event is to serve as a fundraiser for the fall semester budget of the STMU AI Chapter. All proceeds will directly benefit the future events and campaigns held by the student AI members.
