Film Screening and Discussion: "Education Under Fire"

Join us for this powerful 30-minute documentary, produced by Single Arrow Productions and co-sponsored by Amnesty International, is about the Baha’is community in Iran which is and has been repressed and denied higher education simply because of their religious beliefs. In response, a semi-underground university was created by the Baha’i Institute of Higher Learning and teachers taught their students at home or online. The Iranian government periodically cracks down and imprisons teachers and students, and confiscates their computers. Some teachers have received sentences of five years or more in prison simply for teaching. The film screening will be followed by discussion. Learn how we can protect the human right to education for all.
