Education under Fire documents the discrimination faced by the Bahai community in Iran. Bahai are barred from higher education because of their religious beliefs. In response an informal university was created by the Bahai Institute of Higher Learning and teachers taught their students at home or online. The Iranian government periodically cracks down and imprisons teachers and students, and confiscates their computers. Some teachers have received sentences of five years or more in prison simply for teaching. The film screening will be followed by discussion.
