Amnesty International, Ann Arbor Chapter: Monthly Meetings

Join the Ann Arbor Chapter of Amnesty International for our monthly meetings! We will be planning human rights events, signing petitions, and keeping up to date on important human rights issues! We recently held a demonstration/petition signing for the International Day of Support for Victims of Torture, and had a booth at the Ann Arbor Art Fair. We are in the process of preparing for a Jamnesty Event to be held on 9/22/12. We are also looking into local volunteer opportunities that we can do as a group.

We meet from 7:00-8:30 PM on the second Wednesday of each month (9/12, 10/10, 11/14) at the Ecumenical Center, 921 Church Street, Ann Arbor, MI 48104. New members and new ideas are always welcome! We hope to see you at an upcoming meeting and/or event!

For the past 50 years, Amnesty International has been at the forefront of the human rights movement. Our work focuses on issues such as ending torture; abolishing the death penalty; ensuring freedom of expression; protecting civilians in conflict zones; and guaranteeing the rights of women, children, and minorities. Join us, a network of 3 million activists across the globe, to write letters, plan events, and help build a world in which everyone's human rights are respected.
