Does your group want to attend the AGM but you need financial help?
The AGM is a key opportunity to meet activists from around the country working together on many of the same issues you face in your own community. There are many creative solutions for funding travel to the AGM.
- Here are some ideas:
- • Get volunteer subsidies from your regional office. Here's How (In PDF).
- • Ask for financial assistance from your school or local AI group.
- • Share costs by traveling together in carpools with members from other local and student groups.
- • Try one of our Fundraising Tips (In PDF).
- • Need help booking your travel? No problem. Save with special low air & train fares from HRG North America Travel Group by contacting Lois Trinka at (toll free 888.706.3841 or 212.404.8800 x1493; email: lois.trinka@hrgworldwide.com)
TRANSPORTATION FROM MILWAUKEE'S MITCHELL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (MKE)
Bus: The bus stop for Route 80 is located outside and to the south of the baggage claim area. Most service operates approximately every 15 minutes, less often during off peak times such as late nights or weekends. The ride from the Airport to 6th and Wisconsin is approximately 30 minutes. For people wanting to return to the Airport, they would stand at the northwest corner of 6th and Wisconsin at the bus stop and board a Route 80 that says "Airport" or "MATC". Buses run until shortly after midnight. Cash fare is $2.25, exact fare is required as drivers do not give change. All buses are wheelchair accessible.
