On Saturday April 29, 2006, Amnesty International USA, along with the support of internationally recognized artists and performers, hosted a concert event to raise awareness and action for the people of Darfur. The event's aim was to draw special attention to, and inspire action on, the continuing human rights crisis in Darfur, which has claimed 200,000 lives and forced more then two million people to flee their homes. On April 29th we made... SOME NOISE for Darfur!
Check out the music of the concert performers. For every purchase you make at Amazon through our website Amnesty International USA will receive between up to 10% of the sale.
Check out the Music for Human Rights and Make Some Noise sites to learn more about musicians' work with Amnesty.
Amnesty International would like to thank Mira Sorvino for her help with the Darfur Concert and the Darfur Auction and for all of her continued support.
