AGM 2002 BULLETIN BOARD ANNOUNCEMENTS


AGM PROGRAM UPDATES:
  • We regret to announce that we have had to cancel plans to organize the benefit concert planned for Friday, April 19 at the Experience Music Project. We are working on alternative arrangements for Friday night, so watch the AGM website for details!

  • Don't forget: AIUSA Local Members have organized a Teach-In on Globalization at nearby Town Hall 3:00 - 6:00 pm following the Closing Plenary on Sunday, April 21. (see Teach-In in the enclosed A-Z Guide).

SIGN UP FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS:
  • AGM SERVICE PROJECT, Friday morning, April 19: If you'll be in Seattle early and would like to participate in the AGM Service Project, please contact Karen Robinson at krobinso@aiusa.org (see AGM Service Project in the enclosed A-Z Guide).

  • MEDIA TRAINING, Friday, April 19, 10 am - 2 pm. Strategies and guidelines for delivering human rights messages to your community via community media outlets. Contact Jen Corlew jcorlew@aiusa.org or (202) 544-0200 for more information or to sign up for the training. (see Media Training in the enclosed A-Z Guide).

  • TABLING WORKSHOP, Friday, April 19, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Learn how to make the most of group tabling activities. Participants will get some hands-on experience practicing the tips and techniques we discuss by staffing tables at various events throughout the weekend. Contact the AGM Program Office if you'd like to sign up for this workshop (aiusa-agm@aiusa.org). (see Tabling Workshop in the enclosed A-Z Guide).

  • GROUP SALES: If your groups is interested in selling items for fundraising at the AGM Group Sales Marketplace, contact Kathy Brown at the Western Regional Office, (310) 815-0450, kbrown@aiusa.org.

  • Visit the AGM 2002 Website: http://www.amnestyusa.org/events/agm2002 for an up-to-the Minute Agenda, the complete AGM 2002 Program Guide, preparatory materials for the AGM Resolutions, detailed descriptions of speakers and panels, and event updates.

  • NETWORKING LOUNGE: Open 9pm - 12 am midnight Friday and Staurday evening April 19-20. A large, comfortable room at the hotel will be open for impromptu meetings and gatherings. The room will have chairs and tables in different configurations. There will be no audio-visual equipment or refreshments--just a place to meet. Sign-up on the AGM website message board for meetings 10 people or more. Follow links to the Message Board from the AGM 2002 home page or sign-up on site at the Information Desk.
