AGM TRAVEL SUBSIDIES AND APPLICATION FORM Travel subsidies to the Annual General Meeting in Providence are available by applying to either your regional office or the National Field Program Office (for Area Coordinators and Student Area Coordinators). Subsidies can be requested to assist in covering expenses for air, train or car travel and lodging. Groups traveling in large numbers are encouraged to consider carpooling or renting passenger vans to transport members. Subsidy applications will be judged upon need and representation. Subsidies are not guaranteed until the application has been reviewed and the award amount has been verified by AIUSA Regional and/or National Field Program staff. Forms should be submitted no later than February 4, 2000. Please allow time for the application to be reviewed. AIR TRAVEL Estimates for air travel are available through Stratton Travel by calling toll free 888-387-5438. Identify that you are attending the AIUSA Annual General Meeting. Specially priced flights have been negotiated with Southwest, Northwest, and Continental. Please note that there are cut-off dates for these special fares, subject to change based on how far in advance they are booked and ticketed. Call and book early for the lowest rates. AGM SITE ACCOMMODATIONS The Westin Hotel has greatly reduced its rates in support of AIUSA's Annual General Meeting. Deadline for the Amnesty Group Rate: Friday, February 4, 2000. The rate is not guaranteed for reservations made after this date. Reservations at the Westin must be made by phone: 1-800-WESTIN-1. Please identify yourself as an Amnesty Member with the code "AMNESTY-AGM." Reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit card or first night's deposit, due within seven days of making the reservation. Should it become necessary to cancel, you must notify the hotel 24 hours prior to the arrival date to avoid penalties. When you make your reservations, please specify any special needs. The hotel is a disability-equipped facility. Check-in time is after 4pm. Check-out time is 12:00 noon.
