AGM Service Project UpdateWell, the time is drawing near and before you know it, it will be AGM weekend! We know you have questions regarding the service project so let us try and answer some of those questions now. We have not finalized all of the placements as some of our community partners are trying to sort out the best fit. This process should be completed very shortly but we need to be sensitive to the constraints facing our community partners. The placements will vary among schools and community agencies that address a number of human rights issues. We need to identify a couple of folks who would be able to start at 9:00 am on Friday morning March 10. If you'll be in Providence early, please let us know at this time. Otherwise, you will receive your placement no later than the week of the AGM.For folks not starting at 9:00 am, we will have a meeting in the Narragansett Ballroom A at 9:30 a.m. at the Westin Providence Hotel on March 10. During this meeting, we will discuss why and how this project fits into our work, we will review the goals of service learning and we will identify some questions that we will answer during the evening reflection meeting at AS220. Should you have any questions or concerns from this point in, please contact Karen Robinson at krobinso@aiusa.org or 212.633.4270. Thanks much and we will see you on the 10th! |
