AGM2000 will facilitate a presentation and discussion of Visions for Growth (VFG), a new 10-year strategic plan for AIUSA developed by the AIUSA Board of Directors in conjunction with AIUSA members and staff. Last August, the Board created a committee to draft the VFG and tasked it to create a strategic plan introducing new initiatives and growth. Comments were solicited from membership and volunteer leadership structures and developed into a first draft. The draft, presented to the full Board for comments in September 1999, was then presented and discussed by members at Regional conferences.

The Visions for Growth Committee will be meeting the weekend of February 4-5, 2000 to finalize its Draft Plan which takes into consideration additional input from Membership and Staff, and which will be presented to membership at the March 2000 AGM. The Draft Plan will then be disseminated widely throughout the Section, be made available through the regional offices, and be posted on the AIUSA web site here at that time. Based on the revised VFG document, the committee is planning to prepare a substantive resolution for AGM discussion to replace the 'placeholder' resolution passed at the regional conferences. Following the Board's approval, this resolution is expected to be available at the time the revised VFG Draft is completed, i.e., the second week of February 2000.

Copies of the Visions for Growth are available through the Board Office in the National Office or on the AIUSA Web site here.
