National Day of Action for Guatemala: Bring General Ríos Montt to Justice

On and leading up to April 20, 2007, AIUSA and ally organizations are mobilizing members to take action in their local communities to garner support for the campaign to bring former Guatemalan General Efraín Ríos Montt to justice. We are currently recruiting activists and volunteers to help organize events in communities across the country.
For activists in cities with a Guatemalan Consulate - Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, San Francisco, and Washington, DC - we encourage you sign up to help organize a rally and meeting with the Consul General. For activists who don't live in one of these cities, please sign up to organize a solidarity event to bring attention to the National Day of Action. We encourage activists across the U.S. to support the day of action by creating homemade red carnations - a Guatemalan symbol of hope and rebirth.
