The Reckoning: International Criminal Court documentary

Many activists on Darfur know about the ICC because of the arrest warrants it has issued for Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and two other Sudanese suspects, Ahmed Harun and Ali Kushayb, for the war crimes and crimes against humanity they are alleged to have committed in Darfur.  However, many do not know the story of how the ICC came to be a beacon of international justice. 

The Reckoning follows the ICC's dynamic Prosecutor, Luis Moreno Ocampo, as he investigates Lord’s Resistance Army leaders in Uganda, Congolese rebels in the east of the country, and Sudanese suspects in Darfur, among other cases and works to make the ICC and effective instrument for international justice.  The Reckoning chronicles two narratives: Will the Prosecutor succeed in carrying out his mandate? Will the world muster the political will to carry through on its commitment to achieving justice?
