This is Issue #3: Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons – part 3 of the 4-part action series on Darfur. Take action and raise awareness now to protect the people of Darfur currently living as Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in Sudan and refugees in neighboring countries such as Chad and the Central African Republic. The situation of refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Darfur and eastern Chad has become increasingly complex. Amnesty International has appealed to the United Nations Security Council to ensure protection for all civilians in Chad and Sudan and has met with the Chadian Ambassador to the United States to discuss how best to protect civilians in Eastern Chad amidst the ongoing crisis.

Inside, you’ll find all the tools, materials and resources you need to mobilize, take action, raise awareness, organize events, and call on world leaders to ensure the safety and security of people in the Darfur region.
