Thank you for your prompt reply. I am glad to hear that the Board will be briefed on my concerns, which we all agree are of great importance.
I appreciate you sending me the link to your website. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find in your website any reference to my initial inquiry regarding the report requested by your shareholders, or any intentions by the Board to undertake such a report. To reiterate, the report asks for new initiatives by management to address the health and environmental concerns of the affected communities.
As you very well note in your website, this problem has spanned decades, affecting many more residents each year. Please remind the Board of Directors that while nothing is being done, more people are suffering in the Amazon region. I urge the Board to use its powerful position to shape Chevron Corporation into a truly socially responsible company that can look into the past as enthusiastically as it looks into the future.
