You have two important connections to multinational corporations: a direct public connection and a shareholder connection. SHARE POWER helps you take advantage of both to maximize your efforts!
No matter who you are, you have a right to send a direct message to the CEO or Board of Directors of any company about concerns you have regarding their operations. But for SHARE POWER to be truly effective, we will need to use a variety of campaigning techniques. The heads of companies may not be persuaded to change by direct public pressure alone. Amnesty believes that approaching companies indirectly, through our connection to powerful shareholders, also has great potential for impact. This approach to corporate change is called shareholder activism and it is a key component of the SHARE POWER Campaign.
