  • Be one in a million! Demonstrate your support for an International Arms Trade Treaty. Add your picture to the Million Faces Petition, which will be presented to the world's governments at the UN during the summer of 2006.
  • Ask US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice to stop the massive flow of arms to the Democratic Republic of Congo and say no to nearly 30,000 being killed each month.
  • Ask Congress to rein in arms brokers, by supporting a global agreement that lives up to the standards of US law - among the toughest in the world on arms brokering!

Call your friends and group members, it just takes a few hours of planning and activity.

  • Collect 10 photos for the Million Faces Petition. Download instructions for the Million Faces Petition.
  • Tell your friends, school and family about the movie! Send an e-vite with details about local screenings.
  • Organize "Dinner and a Movie" with your friends or group!
  • Have a party to discuss & take action around the film's issues. Consider also meeting at a coffeehouse or restaurant for dinner or drinks.

Download and print the AIUSA promotional flyer (In PDF) from or Email film2005@aiusa.org or call AIUSA's DC office at 202.544.0200 X245 to order it. 25 copies minimum order, while supplies last.

Set up a Killing Field at a town center or student center on campus. Select an area about 10'x10', fill area with 800 flags to represent the number of people killed each day with small arms and light weapons. Buy small flags at a local garden store or make your own with index cards and pencils.

Make customized t-shirts for you, your group, class and friends to wear. Use your own art supplies or print the AIUSA promotional flyer onto printable Iron-on paper.
  • Leaflet and table at movie theatres. Get permission from your local movie theatre to distribute materials or set up a small table. Recruit a few friends or group members to walk through the crowd, pass out information and ask moviegoers to sign the actions.
  • Collect 50 photos for the Million Faces Petition. Set up a table on campus during the lunch-time hours everyday for 1 week. Download instructions.
  • Send flyers and postcards to local NGOs you collaborate with, encouraging them to see the film and encourage their members to take action.
  • Host a town meeting or educational event. Reach out to local organizations to plan an event to educate your community
